Ms. Brischell Palmer-Eastburn, Principal

It is with great excitement that we welcome Mrs. Brischell Palmer-Eastburn as the new Principal of Rio Vista Elementary School!

Mrs. Palmer-Eastburn brings a wealth of experience in education and a passion for helping students, staff, and families thrive. Throughout her career, she has served in a variety of roles, including classroom teacher, mentor teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and most recently Assistant Principal at Sunset Ridge Elementary School.

She earned both her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and her Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Arizona State University. Her commitment to fostering student achievement, supporting educators, and building strong relationships has made a positive impact everywhere she has served.

As Principal of Rio Vista Elementary, Mrs. Palmer-Eastburn is dedicated to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed. She believes in the power of collaboration and looks forward to partnering with students, families, staff, and the community to continue Rio Vista's tradition of excellence.

Mrs. Palmer-Eastburn is excited to join the Rio Vista family and is eager to begin building meaningful relationships as she leads the school into an exciting new chapter. She looks forward to celebrating student successes, supporting staff, and working together to make the 2026–2027 school year an exceptional one for the entire Rio Vista community.

Ms. Elizabeth Jacovino, Assistant Principal

Elizabeth Jacovino is a passionate and experienced educator now serving as the new Assistant Principal at Rio Vista. Mrs. Jacovino is a Phoenix native and a proud product of Arizona public schools.

She earned a Bachelor of Music from Northern Arizona University and began her career in education in 2011, teaching music to grades K-6. She further advanced her educational knowledge in 2014 earning a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University, and later in 2022 returning to Northern Arizona University to earn her Administrative Certificate.

Prior to her current role, she served for two years as Dean of Students in the Roosevelt School District, where she focused on student engagement, equity, and school culture. Mrs. Jacovino is committed to fostering a positive learning environment and supporting the academic and personal growth of every student.
